The Cybernetics Club is an initiative of Vansh Virdi, a student of Modern School Vasant Vihar, under the guidance of his expert mentors. It aims to give early exposure of Artificial Intelligence to the young aspirants of different schools and explain its importance in solving community problems.

Schools that follow the CBSE pattern are bound to teach limited subjects, therefore due to the lack of exposure in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI); newbie students, who want to pursue AI in the future, face problems in deciding whether to take CS in the 11th or not. However, as per the new CBSE circular dated 03.09.2019, schools were given the option to add Artificial Intelligence as an optional sixth subject from Class VIII onwards as it is essential for the kids to learn the basics of machinery and automation from a very young age.

We appreciate the fact that schools are bound to teach limited subjects with a very tight schedule. Knowing that the future of CS lies in AI, we still cannot introduce an additional subject for students in middle school. So, I felt that it would be an excellent opportunity to collaborate with some experts and open a community-based online club.

Dr. Prabhat Kumar, who has written a book on AI and has more than 75 publications in various newspapers and magazines, was convinced to become my mentor in this altruistic objective and provided us with a team of experts. My interaction with Dr. Prabhat Kumar opened my mind, and I felt that our knowledge about AI must be shared amongst different students through this online platform.
